A number of gravel pits are recorded within the immediate vicinity.

The possible gravel pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible gravel pit of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of Rushmoor Wood. The oval-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 14m in diameter and is located within the immediate vicinity of a number of gravel pits depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The earthwork pit remains visible on aerial photographs of 1996.
