Earthwork banks of probable 18th-19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of The Warren. The earthwork banks are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 1 hectare of gentle northwest facing slope within two adjacent plots. Plantations depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s to the immediate northeast and southwest may suggest the earthworks represent former woodland banks. The earthwork banks are visible on aerial photographs of 1988, although only the earthworks within the northeast plot are visible on aerial photographs of 2010.
