The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, at Coombe Park Farm. The semi-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 45m in length by 21m in width and abuts a road along its northern edge. It remains visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 2000.
