A possible quarry pit of probable post-medieval to 19th century date was visible on aerial photographs and digital images derived from lidar data as an earthwork pit on to the north of Goulds Farm, Broad Clyst. The roughly circular pit was located on a west facing slope at approximately 45mOD and measured approximately 15 metres in diameter. It does not correspond with any features depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch first edition map and therefore probably passed out of use prior to the 1880s.
