A possible pond is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of Yabbles Plat. The extent of the earthwork is depicted as a possible pond on the on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The sub-oval shaped feature of a possible clay pit measures approximately 28m in length by 15m in width and remains visible as an earthwork pit on Lidar-derived images of 2005. A number of similar such extraction pits were also recorded within the vicinity.
