An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the east of Trixhayes Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork, which may represent three intercutting pits, measures approximately 78m long by 32m wide and abuts an extant field boundary along its northeast edge. It remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010.
