An earthwork lynchet or more probably a relict field boundary bank is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. Its curvilinear form and relationship to adjacent field boundaries implies a medieval origin.

A curvilinear earthwork bank, circa 90 metres in length and up to 5 metres across at its widest part, is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. It is roughly parallel to a curvilinear boundary 55 metres to the west depicted on the late-19th century OS map. It is possible that this was a lynchet, but considered more likely to be a relict field boundary of probable medieval origin, separating the higher ground from the wetter lower-lying land of the combe on the east, in much the same way as the curvilinear field boundary 55 to 60 metres to the east which is extant on the 1940s aerial photographs. The Tithe Map for this area appears to have been damaged, so it is not clear whether there was a functioning boundary here in the mid-19th century.
