Possible orchard banks of post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the southwest of Wood Farm. Whilst an orchard is not depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, one is shown in the adjacent field to the north. The earthwork banks, upon which the fruit trees may have been established, are north to south aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.80 hectares of gentle southwest facing slope. The possible orchard banks remain visible on aerial photographs up until 1963, although appear to have been completely levelled by 1989.
