Short lengths of curvilinear cropmarks of probable buried ditches were visible.

Curvilinear cropmarks of possible buried ditched features of unknown date were visible on aerial photographs of 1984 on the west-facing slopes to the south of Columbjohn. The cropmarks might be incomplete evidence of a small double ditched enclosure. The possible incompleteness of the cropmarks might be caused by variations in the underlying mudstone and sandstone geology.
