Possible ponds are depicted within the vicinity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the northwest of Spain Farm. The sub-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 28m in length by 25m in width and is located adjacent to an un-named road. A number of features representing ponds of possible former extraction pits are depicted within the vicinity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The earthwork pit is visible on aerial photographs up until 1966, although appears to have been levelled by 1989.
