Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A linear ditch, up to circa 9 metres wide, is visible as an earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2012. No boundaries are depicted in this location on the available historic maps, although the earthwork may be a continuation of an extant field boundary to the south with which it is aligned. It is therefore interpreted as the remains of a medieval or post-medieval field boundary removed prior to the mid-19th century. Its wide form suggests it has been spread by plough action, and it may be too shallow to be readily identified as an earthwork on aerial photographs.
