Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A narrow linear earthwork bank or fence, circa 2 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s, aligned approximately north to south within Horns Copse. It may be the remains of a wood bank in an area that is depicted as woodland on the Tithe Map, and as deciduous woodland and scrub on the late-19th century OS map. It is similar in appearance to a linear feature on approximately the same alignment circa 70 metres to the east, which is depicted on the Tithe Map with a dashed line, suggesting a land division. The area is obscured by tree cover on more recent aerial photographs, and so it is not possible to draw any conclusions as to the likely current condition of this feature.
