An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1963 onwards, at New Ford Farm. The elongated shaped earthwork measures approximately 38m in length by 14m in width and is sited along the eastern edge of a former field boundary. The earthwork pit is visible on aerial photographs of 1989, although appears to have been levelled following expansion of New Ford Farm.
