Orchards are depicted within the vicinity on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s.

Possible orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the northeast of Higher Marsh Farm. Orchards are depicted within the vicinity on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, although any orchard established here had evidently passed out of use by this time. The earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of 0.31 hectares of gentle southwest facing slope. The earthwork banks remain visible on aerial photographs of 2000.
