A right angled cropmark of a ditch was visible.

A buried ditched feature of unknown date and function was visible on aerial photographs of 1975 as a right angled cropmark on the north-east facing slope to the north of the Old Rectory, Poltimore. The cropmark is between 1.5 and 2.5 metres wide and could be interpreted as the north-eastern corner of a rectilinear enclosure in excess of 25 metres wide and 33 metres long. The cropmark was not recorded on any other images available to the survey.
