Summary
A small possible ring ditch of prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs of 1984 as a cropmark immediately to the north-east of Oak Park on the lower slopes of a west-facing hill overlooking the Culm valley, east of Huxham.

Full description

A small circular cropmark was visible.

A small possible ring ditch of prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs of 1984 as a cropmark immediately to the north-east of Oak Park on the lower slopes of a west-facing hill overlooking the Culm valley, east of Huxham.
The possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark that varies from less than 1 metre to circa 1.6 metres wide, defining a slightly irregular area approximately 7 metres in diameter. The date and function of the ring ditch are uncertain, but it may be a small outlier of a possible barrow cemetery to the north.
