A number of similar such features are depicted within the vicinity.

The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Treasbeare Farm. The circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 18m in diameter and is situated on the western side of an extant field boundary, within an area where numerous other such features have been identified on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1992.
