Summary
Homestead dates to at least the early-mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on the Tithe map as a small holding, by the time of the early 20th century historic map, there was little of the farm remaining.

Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
'Uppershaugh' is depicted on the Tithe Map; 78 ('buildings and court') on the Shaugh Prior apportionment. Map shows two buildings with a small courtyard and surrounding fields.

The late 19th century historic map shows the farm to have expanded; additions visible to the farmhouse and secondary building to the south-east.

By the early 20th century, only one or two small structures remain; it appears as though the farmhouse was removed completely.
