Full description

Exeter Archaeology, 2007, East Devon Access Land Archaeological Survey 2007, 60, Site D (Archive - Survey). SDV351571.

On path running southeast from Warren Car Park, an apparent brick trackway circa 5 metres wide runs northeast-southwest across the path, disappearing into the vegetation on either side. Probable World War Two origin. At given grid reference, bricks of trackway are aligned in one direction (diagonally across the current path) but continuing to southeast for 50 metres is random brick and stone. Random brick and stone could perhaps represent the hard surface of a feature associated with the track, or just be a path of metalling of the current path.

Could be included in interpretation of World War Two features in the area.
