Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
No boundaries are depicted in this location.

Dark curvilinear cropmarks are visible.

Two double curvilinear cropmarks, circa 1.5 metres wide and each pair circa 2.5 metres apart, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1984. They are roughly parallel to each other, and although they are not depicted on the available historic mapping they fit into the field system which has been characterised as medieval in character. They are not visible on any other available aerial photographs and so are only tentatively interpreted as having formed over the buried ditches flanking two former field boundaries. As they are not depicted on the Tithe maps any field boundaries here would presumably have fallen out of use prior to the mid-19th century.
