Linear and curvilinear earthwork ditches are visible, possibly with raised ground each side.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

A network of linear and curvilinear earthwork ditches, circa 1 metre in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1969 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. They form a rough grid, with two of the north-east to south-west oriented ditches apparently corresponding to sluices depicted on the 2nd edition OS mapping along the watercourse to the north. They are therefore interpreted as the gutters of a water meadow system of probable 19th century date, which diverted water from the watercourse and distributed it across the low-lying and relatively flat land to the south.
