Parallel linear earthwork banks, covering approximately a tenth of a hectare and circa 3.5 metres wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1969. Their location corresponds to a small enclosure within which orchard trees are depicted on the late-19th century OS maps. The earthworks are aligned broadly cross-contour, and are interpreted as tree planting banks. No trees were depicted in this location on the early-20th century OS maps, indicating that the land was not used as an orchard at that time. No earthworks are visible on later available aerial photographs or lidar-derived images, and they may have been levelled.
