Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, covering approximately a hectare and circa 4.5 metres wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their location corresponds to three fields within which orchard trees are depicted on the late-19th century OS maps. They are interpreted as tree planting banks, although no trees were depicted on the early-20th century OS maps. The earthworks were clearly visible in the 1960s, but only indistinctly on the recent lidar-derived images, suggesting that they have been significantly levelled.
