A possible pond is depicted here on the Farringdon parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

A possible extraction pit of post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, at Westpoint Devon County Showground. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 33m in length by 28m in width and is symbolised as a pond, having possibly been re-utilised as such, on the Farringdon parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. It remains visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1967, although by 1992 the earthwork has been completely levelled as part of landscaping works associated with Westpoint Devon County Showground.
