A probable military earthwork of Second World War date is visible as an earthwork pit and banked feature on aerial photographs of 1945 and 1946, off Digby Drive. The sub-rectangular shaped feature is located at the intersection of two field boundaries and adjacent to the railway line. The earthworks measure approximately 12m in length by 10m in width and comprise an inner earthwork pit with outer earthwork bank. The function of the earthworks is largely unclear although are most likely military in origin and perhaps may have served as a lookout or observation post, or possible anti-aircraft gun pit. The earthworks have been completely levelled on aerial photographs of 1963.
