Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their location corresponds to a field within which orchard trees are depicted on the late-19th century OS maps and orchard trees are visible on the 1940s aerial photographs. The earthworks are aligned cross-contour, and are interpreted as tree planting banks, of probable post-medieval or 19th century date, that went out of use in the 20th century.
