Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear banks, circa 4 metres wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken between 1946 and 1969, and as pale cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1979. Their location corresponds to a field depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping and they are interpreted as tree planting banks of probable post-medieval or 19th century date. Trees seem to have still been present in 1946, although few were still visible in 1969 and by 1979 the area was no longer functioning as an orchard.
