Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

Parallel linear banks, between 3.5 and 5 metres wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their location corresponds to two fields depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping and their cross-contour alignment supports an interpretation as tree planting banks of probable post-medieval or 19th century date. Scattered trees seem to survive and part of the area may still be in use as an orchard.
