Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

An earthwork pit, circa 8 by 12 metres across, is visible on aerial photographs between 1969 and 1979, and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. A feature, possibly a pond, is depicted in this location on historic mapping, and the earthwork is tentatively interpreted as the remains of a post-medieval extraction pit that became disused prior to the late-19th century. As the feature is depicted on historic mapping it has not been transcribed as part of this project.
