Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2014-2015, East and Mid Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV356883.

An earthwork pit, circa 40 by 23 metres, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Its location corresponds to an oval feature depicted on the Tithe map. Nothing is depicted in this location on the late-19th century OS maps, and the earthwork is interpreted as a post-medieval to early 19th century quarry pit, that became disused before the end of the 19th century.
