Parallel linear banks, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and just visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, are interpreted as tree planting banks of probable post-medieval or 19th century date that fell out of use in the second part of the 20th century.

Parallel linear banks, between 7 and 4 metres wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on images derived from lidar captured between 1998 and 2014. Their location corresponds to fields depicted as orchard on the late-19th century mapping, and they are interpreted as tree planting banks of probable post-medieval or 19th century date. The features north of the farm are considerably wider than those to the south, and they may be different phases. Trees were still present in 1946, and the orchard appears to have fallen out of use in the second part of the 20th century.
