Possible orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, at Malborough Cottages. A possible orchard is depicted here on the Clyst Honiton Parish Tithe Map of approximately 1838-48, although by 1946, aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been completely grubbed up, leaving a series of parallel north to south aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. These banks occupy an area of approximately 0.20 hectares of gentle northwest facing slope, within an irregular shaped plot depicted on the Tithe Map. The orchard banks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs after 1963 and may have been completely levelled.
