A cropmark ring ditch was visible.

A possible ring ditch was visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on the east facing slopes overlooking the Exe Valley, to the west of Northlands, Brampford Speke. The cropmark was up to 3 metres wide and enclosed an oval area up to 16 metres in diameter. The cropmark was somewhat faint but it is likely to be evidence of a round barrow of Bronze Age date.
