A flattened v-shaped slit trench was visible as an earthwork on the north-east facing slopes north of Park Lane on aerial photographs of 1945, Broadclyst. The trench was less than 1 metre wide and circa 8 metres long and was located immediately to the north of the rear boundary of number 42 Park Lane. It is possible that the earthwork was the remains of a simple air raid Shelter of Second World War date associated with one of the residential properties. The earthwork cannot be identified on more recent images available to the survey and has probably been in-filled.
