A small square structure was visible to the north of Pinn Hill Road on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The structure was approximately 3 metres square and appears to have been separated from the road by a fence and a detached wall, possibly a blast wall, presumably protecting an entrance. The purpose of the structure is unknown but it was probably of military function and Second World War date. The structure was not visible on aerial photographs of 1963.
