Earthwork banks of possible former medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the west of Cuckoo Hill Cottages. The slight curvilinear earthworks are northwest to southeast aligned and closely respect the historic field patterns depicted on the Parish Tithe Map and classified as medieval enclosures based on strip fields on the Historic Landscape Charcterisation, although the possible former boundaries appear to have passed out of use by this time. The earthworks, which remain visible on Lidar-derived images of 1998-2014, are located in close proximity to an extensive area of lynchets and possible medieval boundaries to the west.
