Earthwork banks of possible former medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs of 1963 onwards, to the south of Uplyme. The earthworks are fairly sinuous in form but generally respect and are contiguous with field boundaries depicted on the Parish Tithe Map, although had evidently passed out of use by this time. The earthworks occupy an area of approximately 1 hectare and appear to form part of a number of plots, the larger and more obvious of these to the south measuring approximately 80m in length by 55m in width, with smaller plots to the north and possibly west of this. The earthworks remain visible on Lidar-derived images of between 1998-2014.
