NRM CITING BROWN, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV125822.

Possibly a holy well (nrm citing brown).


TRANS EXETER DIOC ARCH SOC, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV125823.

The ancient well has an arched recess and doorway with shields and foliage carved in the spandrels (trans exeter dioc arch soc).

Colcombe Well 274m east of Colcombe Castle on hillside. Formerly supply for Colcombe Castle. Possibly a holy well. Well has arched recess and doorway with carvings. Circular feature still marked on modern map, although confusingly, 'Colcombe Well' is marked to east of road.
