In woodland at the given grid reference two raised platforms with brick edges were seen. Further to the north at grid reference SY 0422 8516 low brick remains of buildings were visible, and also a number of small shallow pits/ trenches. The platforms and buildings are almost certainly related to the army camp shown in this position on 1947 aerial photograph (see site 69). The trenches may be of a similar or later date.
