Summary

A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Hawkchurch. The earthwork appears to have been almost completely levelled by 1976 and it's survival after this date is uncertain.

The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

The possible former extraction pit appears to have been largely levelled, although slight earthworks are possibly visible.

A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Hawkchurch. The elongated and irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 13m in width and is located on gentle northeast facing slope, to the southeast of Wyld Court Farm. The earthwork appears to have been almost completely levelled by 1976, although slight earthworks are possible visible. Its survival after this date is uncertain.
