Possible former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1963 onwards, to the northwest of White-ley. The earthworks comprise a single, sinuous northeast to southwest aligned bank which is flanked on its eastern side by a series of three fragmented earthworks of a probable second former field boundary. The earthworks closely respect the field boundaries depicted on the Parish Tithe Map of 1838-48, although they appear to have passed out of use by this time. The earthworks remain visible on Lidar-derived images of between 1998-2014.
