Ordnance Survey, 1904 - 1906, Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25 inch Map (Cartographic). SDV325644.

A further building has been added to the rear of the cottage.

Grumley-Grennan, T. + Hardy, M., 2000, Gidleigh. A Dartmoor Village Past and Present, 85 (Monograph). SDV359347.

Berrydown Cottage, built in about 1700 as a farm worker's thatched cottage with two acres of land, originally formed part of Berrydown Farm, owned by the Rowe family for 400 years. It was known simply as 'The Cottage, Berrydown'. Tenanted out until 1946 when it was sold off.

Ordnance Survey, 2015, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV357601.

The modern map shows the dwelling but confusingly names it 'Little Berrydown'; labels appear to have been misplaced.
