Cropmarks which have formed over an infilled field boundary ditch of uncertain, but potential prehistoric, date is visible on aerial photographs of 1989, to the southwest of Bawcombe.

The curvilinear cropmark ditch is broadly northwest to southeast aligned and is situated on moderate west facing slope of a prominent spur. The cropmark ditch is located in close proximity to two possible prehistoric enclosures to the east and may represent part of an associated feature.
