The A358 (the King's Highway to Axmouth, Fig. 6) might well represent an extension of the Fosse Way from the north, as suggested by the alignment of field boundaries to the south of Musbury. Recent excavations near Woodbury Farm have indicated that the Fosse Way probably extended towards Axmouth.
