Summary

A medieval pit to the north-west of the site of a medieval house was excavated during a programme of archaeological works along the route of a gas pipeline. The fill of the pit contained sherds of 12th-15th century pottery and carbonised cereal grains.

Site 13.02. The site was recognised through undated cropmarks of an enclosure and other ditches. Geophysical survey could not be undertaken due to crop cover. Excavation revealed a pit (13.02.163) in the north-west part of the site the primary fills of which contained five sherds of 12th-15th century pottery.
