Earthworks of three sub-circular pits, between 15m to 20m long, are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2007. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the late 19th century Ordnance Survey First Edition map. They are interpreted as post-medieval or early to mid-19th century extractive pits which had probably passed out of use by the late 19th century.
One of the extractive pits at SX45687388 corresponds with a pit transcribed during the Tamar Valley NMP survey which it supersedes, and with an earthwork depicted on the 2020 Ordnance Survey MasterMap.
