The area is associated with a grange of Newenham Abbey. No medieval structures are thought to survive above ground. The farm is now a working farm. The central farm buildings were destroyed by fire and rebuilt in the earlier 20th century. Walls on a different alignment to those of the destroyed buildings were noticed during the rebuidling but nothing more is known of them and they are undated. The most readily visible survival of the monastic period is a set of fishponds. These, however, have been subject to modern alterations and scouring. Not recommended for scheduling.
