Summary

Field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible on aerial photographs, to the west of Buckland Abbey. The cropmarks were recorded as part of the Tamar Valley NMP project.

Cornwall Archaeological Unit, 2001-2002, Tamar Valley National Mapping Programme Transcriptions and Database Records, OS84/234/247-9; RAF CPE1890/F20/2344-5 & RAF 170/V17/1710Z/0011-2 (Interpretation). SDV346287.

A number of groups of cropmark ditches and banks have been transcribed from photographs OS84/234/247-9; RAF CPE1890/F20/2344-5 and RAF 170/V17/1710Z/0011-2. The southern most of these corresponds to a database record of a possible medieval field system visible as cropmark ditches and banks, and the other transcriptions are also likely to be part of this record.
