Full description

Cornwall Archaeological Unit, 2001-2002, Tamar Valley National Mapping Programme Transcriptions and Database Records, RAF/V17/170/0016-17 (Interpretation). SDV346287.

The transcription from aerial photographs RAF/V17/170/0016-17 of a curvilinear ditch corresponds closely to a database record of a cropmark field system, recorded as being of ‘unknown medieval’ date, on the south-west edge of West Down. Three further similar earthwork curvilinear ditches were transcribed circa 650 metres to the north-east, on the north-east edge of West Down. These earthworks are not obviously associated with a separate record and were potentially part of the same database entry as the south-western boundary; as such they have been recorded together.
