Full description

Cornwall Archaeological Unit, 2001-2002, Tamar Valley National Mapping Programme Transcriptions and Database Records, RAF/540/483/4242-3 (Interpretation). SDV346287.

Transcriptions of a curvilinear ditch from cropmark and possible earthwork evidence, visible on photographs RAF/540/483/4242-3, correspond to a database record of an earthwork field system of ‘unknown medieval’ date, to the south-west of Hartshole Farm. A second transcription of a linear ditch circa 270m to the north was probably included as part of the same database record.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2016, Backlog Recording of the Tamar Valley National Mapping Programme Survey (Personal Comment). SDV359374.

The date of the aerial photograph is not included in the aerial photograph reference given in the Tamar Valley NMP transcription attributes for the transcription at SX45830107. All interpretive and photographic reference attributes were not recorded for the transcription at SX45870526. The Tamar Valley NMP survey record suggests the field boundaries were visible as cropmark and earthwork evidence, but the transcription attributes indicate cropmark evidence only.
